Modification 2 1 Quotes are due by close of business 430 PM local time on 29 Sep 99 2 As a result of the site visits held on this project the following changes are being made a Building 868 Remove from the Statement of Work the Backflow Preventor on the fire line but keep the device on the compressor in the Statement of Work b Add 2 8 or 1 16 reduced pressure principle devices shall be installed on the line connecting the City of Alamogordo water supply to the well field Contractor shall provide concrete pad and shall install HotBox for freeze protection Contractor shall install thrust restraints at all pipe turns All piping above grade shall be painted white Paint shall be compatible with substrate All piping to be painted shall be free from rust oil grease dirt or any other contaminant that might prevent the paint from adhering properly Surfaces shall receive one prime coat one undercoat and one final coat c Delete Building 953 from the Statement of Work and the bid schedule Attached is a revised bid schedule d Building 901 Contractor shall install backflow preventors at location of existing washracks Contractor remove existing washrack and shall provide new piping from connection to water line Contractor shall backfill and compact to 95 maximum density Asphalt shall be patched and concrete pad provided for new backflow preventors Hose bibb and 1 12 line shall extend from hotbox as called for in SOW Protective bollards shall be installed around hotbox This shall serve as new washrack e Building 304 Addition of 3 backflow preventor to SOW to be installed upstream of truck fill hoses Contractor shall repipe as necessary to provide adequate space and proper height for installation of backflow preventors f Water Line to Well Field Contractor shall provide security fence around backflow preventors Fence fabric shall be 6 high with angled cap of 3 rows barbed wire Approximate amount of fence material is Wire mesh personnel door with lockable entry shall be provided Access to devices shall be minimum of three feet in all directions Add pipe bollards at each of the 4 corners of the pad and painted with reflective paint
