This is not a solicitation for quotes bids or proposals This is a sources sought notice for those companies that currently manufacture or supply tents mobile or portable structures preferably under contract through the General Services Administration GSA However all interested sources may submit information if they determine they can meet the requirements Request those interested sources who provide these types of items as described below and possess a GSA contract to submit the following information no later than 26 October 2001 Company Name and address point of contact and phone number business size GSA contract including terms and conditions catalogs pricing schedules and product information that meet the requirements detailed below Ensure all information is included and clearly mark your mailing envelope Mobile Command Post and make it to the attention of Grant Furulie ITEM DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE The Survival School 336th Training Group at Fairchild AFB Washington is the home for survival evasion resistance and escape SERE instruction for the United States Air Force By its nature numerous SERE courses are conducted annually in remote sections of US National Forests throughout the Northwest Facilitating movement into multiple training areas the 336 Training Group intends to purchase a Mobile Command Post MCP system housing required medical logistic and support functions in unimproved difficult to access locations The entire MCP system shall be rugged mobile and completely selfcontained The MCP system must include electrical generation capability for 110V AC power and contain a HVAC system capable of maintaining 72 degrees F in all weather conditions Each MCP shall withstand a minimum 40 lb per square foot snow load capacity and 100 mph wind loads The units must have an integrated trailer transportable at highway speeds and on unimproved roads by semitractor or similar means The MCP system must be able to be set up by a maximum four 4 persons Three main modules will comprise the heart of the MCP system The first is a Command and Control Module ref attach 1 and two each may be required The second is one each of a Medical Module ref attach 2 and one each of a RestroomShower Module ref attach 3 Each module should have a minimum of approximately 550 square feet of living or working area and they must be collapsible to dimensions safe for road travel Approximately 5000 square feet of additional storage and living space is required This requirement can be divided into multiple shelters with a minimum of 500 square feet per shelter These units shall be able to withstand a 40 lb per square foot snow load capacity and 100 mph wind loads The additional shelters must also incorporate electricity for 110v AC power and be climate controlled with and HVAC system capable of maintaining 72 degrees F in all weather conditions Must be able to be folded up and broken down for transportation by truck Please contact Grant Furulie at 509 2474868 or Email at grantfuruliefairchildafmil if there are any questions or concerns
