Sources Sought Announcement Synopsis for EA6B Nozzle Engine Test drawing PWA34985 This is a short leadtime and possibly a onetime requirement for 10 each with a First Article The supplier of this part must be ISO 9000 or equivalent certified and be able to show a successful history of past performance with this type of aircraft component Certification documents will be required for all processes including materials heat treat machining welding NDT and Quality Assurance The material is in accordance with AMS 5599 and AMS 5666 welding in accordance with PWA 1516 AWS C1166D11 or MILSTD 2219MILSTD 6858 The configuration is a welded seam cone shaped sheet part approximately 27 inches in diameter at the large end and 18 inches at the small end by 16 inches long The exterior skin has welded stiffener ribs 3 places that extend around the circumference of the part The large end on the face of the part has a welded ring conforming to the circular configuration fabricated from AMS 5599 plate or AMS 5666 Inconel bar and butt welded There is a machined 25496 002000 step machined in the end of the ring with a 32 finish and 002 flatness requirement free state with a series of 72 X 281 positional location of 010 holes around the face First Article evaluation will consist of destination dimensional documentation Metallurgical NDT and a functional test run to the engine The delivery for the First Article and the production parts will be critical to the award of the contract After review of the synopsis if qualified and interested you can contact Lew Kono via email
