NA The US Army Soldier and Biological Chemical Command is conducting a Market Survey to identify potential commercially available fabrics for a possible future replacement of the current fabric used in the production of the issue dress shirt current fabric is a 6535 polyestercotton broadcloth These fabrics will be evaluated for a potential future wear test NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT CURRENTLY EXISTS The fabrics must be produced in the US of US made fibers but the Government is not mandating the type of fibers to be used There is no requirement for a color at this time but the fabric must be of a type appropriate for use in dress shirts Companies interested in having their fabrics considered for possible future use must submit two 2 yards of their fabric along with an information paper specification sheet describing the fabric in detail to include such things as fabric name washing instructions blend of fabric place of manufacture current uses for fabrics pricing information and any other information the company feels appropriate If you have brochuresbooklets of different swatches of colors and blends of fabrics please submit them along with information papers If one of the submitted samples is chosen for further testing the ma nufacturer must have availableor be able to produce the needed yardage of fabric for a wear test in a short period of time The samples and information paper must be submitted no later than 15 Feb 02 to Ms Pam Moriarty US Army Soldier Biological Chem ical Command Natick Soldier Center ATTN AMSSBRIPRSQN Room D226 Kansas Street Natick MA 017605019 All responses must be in writing No telephone responses will be accepted
