Work includes but is not limited to furnishing all plant labor materials tools equipment transportation and services necessary to renovate interior of Youth Center facility Building 390 at Laughlin AFB TX The facility will be unoccupied during the construction phase This project includes the abatement and disposal of asbestos and leadbased paint LBP hazardous materials in indicated areas Some existing wall finishes shall be demolished and replaced with new gypsum board with new finishes as indicated All floors walls and ceilings shall receive new finishes Some ceiling heights shall be lowered Restrooms shall be reconfigured and made ADA compliant with the installation of new restroom fixtures The entire facility shall be made ADA compliant through installation of interior ramps and exterior exit ramps The facility upgrade shall also include installation of fire walls in kitchen and exit egress corridors for compliance with National Fire Protection Association NFPA and Life Safety Code requirements An additional exit shall be installed in the main classroom per Life Safety Code Work on the closedcircuit television CCTV system for Bldg 390 will be accomplished under a separate contract during the performance period of the contract resulting from this solicitation However this project includes installation of conductor conduit for additional cameras All other construction as it appears in the construction documents is also included in this project Project solicitation and specifications will be made available on or about 28 Jul 99 The complete package will be made available only through the INTERNET the address is httpwwwepsgov Anyone wishing to participate on this proposed procurement must obtain their copy from the Internet Copies will not be mailed out of this office All amendments will be posted on the Internet Potential offerors will be solely responsible for obtaining amendments from the Internet to update their files This solicitation is issued as full and open competition The applicable small business size standard for interested small business concerns including their affiliates is not more than 17 million in average annual receipts for the preceding three years The standard industrial classification code is 1542 The magnitude of this project is between 250000 and 500000 Telephone requests will not be honored All offers from responsive responsible sources will be considered Emailadd bjeldienlaughlinafmil

The ACC Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order under other than full and open competition to REMOTEC INC for the procurement of 14 Mk 2 RCT wheel kits for delivery to 14 different stateside locations These wheel kits are being purchased as part of the Remote Ordnance Neutralization System RONS RONS is an initiative to upgrade the Mk2 Remote Controlled Transporter The robots were procured sole source from REMOTEC Inc Therefore upgrades on the robots will also be made by REMOTEC for compatibility reasons The Air Force intends to conduct this procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Parts 63 12 and 13 All responsible sources may submit responses to this notice of proposed sole source contract action Responses must include written documentation providing conclusive evidence that a proposed alternative to the REMOTEC Mk 2 RCT wheel kits provides at a minimum the same capabilities and functions required to meet the needs of the Air Force as stated herein To be considered responses shall be submitted in sufficient detail to enable accomplishment of a thorough technical education Responses received shall be processed in accordance with Air Force FAR Supplement Subpart 530520490 The deadline for receipt of responses is 1600 EST 28 Jul 99 Responses must be submitted in writing by fax email or delivered by mail If no responses are received by the stated deadline or all responses received are found to be technically unacceptable the procurement will proceed under other than full and open competition as described herein
