The work includes but is not limited to providing supervision labor plants equipment and material necessary to renovate interior youth center Project includes the abatement and disposal of asbestos and leadbased paint hazardous materials in indicated areas Some existing wall finishes shall be demolished and replaced with new gypsum board with new finishes as indicated All floors walls and ceilings shall receive new finishes Some ceiling heights shall be lowered Restrooms shall be reconfigured and made ADA compliant with the installation of new restroom fixtures The entire facility shall be made ADA compliant through installation of interior rams and exterior exit ramps The facility upgrade shall also include installation of fire walls in kitchen and exit egress corridors for compliance with National Fire Protection Association and Life Safety Code requirements An additional exit shall be installed in the main classroom per Life Safety CodeWork on closedcircuit television CCTV system shall be accomplished by separate contractor however prime contractor shall be responsible for installation of conductor conduit for additional cameras All other construction as it appears in the construction documents is also included in the project This solicitation will be issued as full and open competition The applicable small business size standard for interested small business concerns including their affiliates is not more than 17 million in average annual receipts for the preceeding three years The standard industrial classification code is 1542 Magnitude of the project is between 250000 and 500000 NOTE THE FUNDING FOR THIS PROJECT IS CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE THIS NOTICE WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR SIXTY 60 DAYS THE POSSIBLE RELEASE DATE IS 26 APR 99 If funding is received sooner another synopsis will be issued with the current release date When project solicitation specifications and drawings are made available they can be obtained through the internet address httpepsarnetgov Copies will not be mailed out from this office All amendments will also be posted on the internet Contractors will be solely responsible for obtaining amendments from the internet to update their files
