A site visit will be conducted on March 31 1999 at 1300 All contractors interested in this project should meet at the Contracting office Install UPS Bldg 1061 This statement of work is for installation of an uninterruptible power supply UPS in building 1061 Contractor shall provide all parts materials tools equipment and labor to perform the work specified above All work shall be performed in accordance with the 1999 NEC All installed wiring shall be 12 AWG minimum except signal wire Signal wiring shall be 14 AWG minimum This does not alleviate the requirement to abide by NEC for wire sizing for expected load All wires larger than 8 AWG shall be stranded All installed wires shall be copper All work shall be performed within 90 days of notice to proceed All wires shall be installed in appropriately sized conduit Exterior above ground conduit shall be Rigid Galvanized Steel Interior above ground conduit shall be EMT or better Underground conduit shall be PVC Flexible Metallic Conduit shall be allowed for connection to equipment as allowed by NEC Underground conduit shall be placed no less than 61 cm 24 below grade Trenching must be wide enough to allow placement of all necessary conduit with required spacing All backfill shall be compacted Contractor is responsible for processing AF Form 103 if any digging or trenching is required Form will be supplied to Contractor prior upon award UPS shall have sufficient battery backup to supply load for a minimum of four 4 hours UPS shall be rated for a minimum of a 10 Amp load
