Title DSI Ponemah Software for the Critical Care Medicine Department at the NIH Clinical Center Product Service Code 6640 NAICS Code 334516 Place of Performance Bethesda MD 20892 USA POTS 24006997 Description This is a notice of intent NOT a request for a quotation A solicitation document will NOT be issued and quotations will NOT be requested The National Institutes of Health NIH intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to Data Sciences International Incorporation of Saint Paul Minnesota 551123929 The purpose of this acquisition is to procure a telemetry platform from DSI that monitors and records continuous physiologic data such as heart rate and blood pressure through implantable telemetry devices The platform will provide monitoring during nonhuman primate models of infectious diseases that cause high rates of mortality in humans Continuous and faithful monitoring of physiologic parameters over time is essential for deep characterization of disease progression Critically the implantable telemetry platform enables monitoring in sedated or awake animals Physiologic parameters could alternatively be measured by inserting a device via percutaneous femoral arterial access but this method requires continuous sedation and does not allow for measurement of physiologic parameters in awake animals Below is a description of the item requested for this requirement Part Number Description Quantity PNMP3PCFG Ponemah Software System 1 The proposed vendor Data Sciences International Incorporation is the sole manufacturer of the proprietary Ponemah software used within its telemetry platform This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures Subpart 131061b1 For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold SAT contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6Competition Requirements Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government Comments to this announcement referencing this posting number may be submitted to the Office of Purchasing and Contracts prior to the closing date specified in this announcement electronically to the attention of Shasheshe Goolsby Lead Contract Specialist shasheshegoolsbynihgov by May 10 2024 630AM EST Please send your capability statements ONLY This IS NOT a request for proposal
