The solicitation will be provided upon request This is a total small disadvantaged business set aside STATEMENT OF WORK REPLACE EXISTING MOTOR STARTERS AND CONTROLS FOR 200 AND 60 HP MOTORS FOR WATER BOOSTER PUMPS AT BUILDING 1385 1 SCOPE The work covered by this statement of work consists in furnishing all plant labor equipment appliances and materials and performing all operations in connection with the complete replacement of the electrical starters and control units for water booster pump motors 3 and 4 at building 1385 2 INSTALL NEW UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL SERVICE Run underground electrical service from secondary side of existing transformer to both motor control panels The service for the 60 HP motor booster pump 3 is to be run into facility 1385 where the new panel controls and starter will be located A second service for the 200 HP motor booster pump 4 is to be run to panel controls and starter located outside of fire pump building 3 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR BOOSTER PUMP 4 200 HP MOTOR Relocate starterpanel to outside of fire pump building Pour concrete pad and provide underground electrical service from the transformer to the panel approximately 100 feet Provide underground electrical service from the panel to the pump motor approximately 30 feet 4 REMOVE EXISTING STARTER CONTROLS AND PANELS Remove existing Automatic Reduced Voltage ARV starters 2 Eliminateremove redundant protection devises Troubleshoot existing components and replace manual components with similar components 5 INSTALL NEW SOFT START CUTLER HAMMER BRAND STARTERS AND CONTROLS Update all internal control components Install and connect new hour meter to monitor motor run time Install and connect new normally open auxiliary contact point to the full voltage starter The contact point is to be used to start the existing chlorination pump motor starter Install 2 additional auxiliary contacts on each starter for future use Install new relay for the restart delay timer Install new molded case circuit breaker and wiring for the chlorinator pump motor All components must be compatible with existing RTU and chlorination system Replace current enclosure for starter and components All electrical installed equipment is required to have 50 degree Celsius rating and have lightning and surge protection 6 All work will be performed in accordance with the National Electric Code 7 TESTS After the installation is complete and at such time as the Contracting Officer may direct the contractor shall conduct an operation test for approval to ensure the pumps are operational and the computerized system is monitored and functional The equipment shall be demonstrated to operate in accordance with the requirements of this specification The test shall be performed in the presence of the base electrician and water treatment operator The contractor shall furnish all instruments and personnel required for the test 8 WARRANTY The contractor shall provide a 3year warranty on all work and material 9 PERFORMANCE PERIOD The contractor shall complete all work within 30 calendar days from issuance of notice to proceed
