The Bureau of Engraving and Printing BEP intends to issue a full and open solicitation to procure all types of Distinctive Currency Paper for the printing of US currency at the Washington DC and Fort Worth TX facilities The solicitation provides for multiple and spilt awards by paper type Resulting contracts will be fixed price indefinite deliveryindefinite quantity multiyear contracts The anticipated period of performance is October 1 2002 through September 30 2006 The solicitation will provide up to 24 months for startup time Material samples will be required with the submission of a proposal It is anticipated that a solicitation will be issued and posted in August 2001 Public Law 100440 Title VI 617 a requires that a contract for the manufacture of distinctive paper for United States US currency may not be awarded to any corporation or entity owned or controlled by persons who are not citizens of the US nor may distinctive paper for US currency be manufactured outside of the US For purposes of award of a contract a corporation or other entity is presumed to be owned or controlled by citizens of the US when domestic ownership or control constitutes at least 90 Interest parties should contract Cindy Duncan via email at cynthiaduncanbeptreasgov A nondisclosure agreement is required to be executed prior to receiving a copy of the solicitation

The National Cancer Institute NCI intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with The Goodman Research Group Inc 26 Lee Street Suite 1 Cambridge MA 02139 for a modification to respond to NCIs critical programmatic need to obtain better quality data that would indicate the extent to which stated program goals and objectives are being met at each contracted site and the impact of the program overall This will be achieved by 1 conducting a systematic followup with students in the current contract 2 conducting an incentivebased followup study of students who participated during years 1990 through 1997 3 recruiting and maintaining control groups for SEP 2001 and 2002 The data from these three activities will then be analyzed interpreted and consolidated for publishing The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of 41 USC 253c1 as set forth in FAR 63021 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services satisfy agency Requirement Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals However all proposals received within 45 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract modification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement
